Sexology, Couples therapy, Grief counseling
About me
I am Naomi Post, I was born in Belgium where I completed two masters at the University of Leuven. After my master’s degree in criminology (2011, University of Leuven, Cum Laude), I further specialized as a sexologist (2015, University of Leuven, Cum Laude). In 2018 I moved with my husband to the Quercy in the south of France. After the death of my beloved husband in 2021, I reconverted as a grief therapist at Mourning and Loss. In addition, I continue to professionalize and educate myself trough conferences and web seminars, among other things.
Friends and family describe me as someone who has been very open and curious about getting to know other from an early age. I like to talk about topics that are difficult to talk about with others and I like to get to the bottom of things. These interests have led me to delve into criminology and sexology. After the death of my husband, I came into contact with grief counseling. The support and guidance I received from this inspired me to start working as a grief counselor myself.
Sexology and grief counseling are both close to my heart. My education, experience and life path allow me to empathize with different situations, people and perspectives. I can help you to discuss difficult situations in relationships, sexuality, grief or loss. I offer support and guidance to see new perspectives and find solutions to difficulties.
I will go into more detail about the different types of therapy that I offer on this site. You can contact me as a sexologist, couples counselor or grief therapist.

Background logo
I chose a peacock as logo because this is a very powerful animal with beautiful symbolism.
Over the centuries, different cultures have attributed special characteristics to the peacock. It is a wonderful animal with special colors and unique characteristics and is often associated with peace, happiness, prosperity and beauty. A peacock represents possibilities, growth and opportunities.
A peacock also has a special, personal meaning for me. I lost my husband, Leendert Post, suddenly at the age of 31. It has been said that seeing a peacock is a spiritual message. And at unexpected times and place it suddenly appears: the peacock. I get a lot of strength from these moments and the peacock is a fitting symbol for what I strive for in my therapy.
A peacock symbolizes immortality. In my view, everyone is immortal. The physical absence of a loved one is extremely difficult to bear, but because they live on in our memories and hearts, they are immortal.
A peacock also symbolizes renewal and rebirth. A peacock represents possibilities, growth and opportunities. Everyone can lose their shine, individually or in their relationships. The power of a peacock is that fen if it has lost all its feathers and beauty, it can grow them back. Just as the peacock can grow its feathers back, and these may be even more beautiful than before, through therapy we can grow our feathers back and find ourselves again. We can feel good about our lives, ourselves or our relationships.
A peacock symbolizes dignity and self-expression. A peacock shows itself with all the colors it has. His feathers are often used to attract positive energy. In addition, the are also used as protection against negative energy that also comes from outside. The peacock reminds us that we should not make ourselves smaller, but we should open our tail wide and show ourselves. The peacock gives the strength to remain in one’s energy. To take one’s place and believe in oneself.
Finally, there is also the expression, as proud as a peacock. It is time to be proud of yourself again !
frequently asked Questions
Where does the therapy take place ?
- In Roquecor : my cabinet is located in Roquecor F82150, between Agen and Cahors. The first meeting takes place in the cabinet, so that we can have the first conversation together in a neutral environment.
- By walking : individual therapy can also take the form of walking therapy. This means that the sessions take place outside, while walking, in the beautiful nature that the Quercy has to offer. It has been proven that this offers many benefits. The beauty of the nature has a healing and soothing effection on the heart and brain. Green is the color of healing and will therefore unconsciously have a healing effect on the entire organism. In addition, exercise and being outside is very good for both body and mind. Finally, some people prefer this form of therapy because it is easier for them to talk about certain things in a setting outside the cabinet. The choice is of course up to the client and walking therapy can be offered for both individual and grief therapy. Couples counseling will always take place in the cabinet.
- Video calling : in some situations, lie contact can also take place online. This is possible, for example, for people who live too fare away, are temporarily abroad, of who cannot travel to the cabinet for some other reason.
Is the therapy individual ?
- I can help you individually or as a couple. Grief counseling is usually offereed individuals. Both options are possible for sex therapy. The request for help often comes from one person, but it may be appropriate for the course of the therapy to also invite the partner to a few sessions. This will always be discussed with the client. The relationship counseling takes place as a couple, but it is possible that some individual sessions will be scheduled. This will always be discussed with the client first.
In which langage is the therapy conducted ?
- The therapy will take place in the language you feel most comfortable with. My native language is Dutch. In addition, I mainly completed my masters in English and have been living in France for several years. So I speak Dutch, English and French fluently.
